One of the things I love about travelling is meeting people, particularly those who live at the places we visit. An advantage of renting what is referred to as self-catered apartments/homes is that it provides an opportunity to meet the owners and spend a little time with them. Of course some are managed apartments but most of the ones we are renting are managed by the owners. I thought I’d use this post to add photos of the people we meet along the one in our travels in Spain.
The following photo is of Fidel and Susana and their family, it is taken outside their home in Rincon de la Victoria (near Malaga) where we stayed in week 1.
While we were staying in Puerto de la Duquesa for week 2 and one day while the kids played at a nearby park we met Alex and Ruth and their family. Later we had a fabulously curry at their home.
The apartment we staying in at Puerto de la Duquesa belonged to Clara and Raymon. We had a lovely mid-day coffee with them at a park in Benaladena when we returned their keys.
Daniel with Clara and Raymon’s kids.
In Almeria we stayed in another apartment that belonged to Fidel and Susana. We were spoiled when Susana cook lunch for us all to enjoy, Paella, a rice, seafood and chicken meal.
