This beautiful castle was built in the greater part of the 11th century to be a palace forts for the Moslem rulers of the city and is one of the symbolic monuments of the capital of Malaga. The construction was ordered by King Badis.
The castle has many defense elements such as 3 thick walls which were a lot of fun and exciting to walk along. As you can see by the photo we pretended to have a war. Another defence system is watch towers which are good for views and a excellent place for taking photos. It was really great going to the castle I ran around the gardens and it was just really cool being in a real castle, we took lots of photos. If you ever go to Malaga do go to Alcazaba.

I really enjoyed reading about the history of the castle Daniel! I enjoy history and it makes me want to hop on a plane and fly over there.

Thanks Marion for your comments. Daniel was very excited to be walking around a real castle and wanted us to buy swords to play with in the castle.

I’ve noticed that Pete is looking very ‘chilled out’ in the photos. I’ve never seen you look so relaxed Pete.

It’s just a photo, not real life. I assure you computer problems follow me whereever I go! Later in our trip I should be pretty relaxed – once we have everything booked and worked out.
